Resumen
– Two nests of the Fulvous-breasted Flatbill (Rhynchocyclus fulvipectus) were encountered in eastern Ecuador. For one nest we report an incubation period greater than or equal to 18 days and a nestling period of 27 days. An adult initiated the fledging event by repeatedly entering and leaving the nest with food while the other adult sang from a nearby perch. Photos of the nestling and nest are provided, as well as a description of the first known song of this species. Accepted 13 February 2004.
