MITOO: un framework para la migración de datos hacia bases de datos orientadas a objetos MITOO: A Framework for the Migration of Data to Databases Object-Oriented

Resumen

This article presents M iTOO, a framework for migrating data from any relational database to an object database. The framework follows an approach based on s QL queries and XML configuration. The design features of the framework are presented through design patterns and design artifacts in UML notation. MiTOO is focused in Java Applications and allows migrating data to JDO-compliant and DB4O object databases. The results of the research has been evaluated using metrics of object-oriented design which demonstrate the reusability qualities of the framework. A distribution of M iTOO has been developed in Java language and is available in the site of the developer community of DB4O.
