Resumen

In this article the mathematical model is presented, the simulations carried out prior to the construction of an 800W wind turbine destined for the rural areas of Ecuador. The project then went on to a construction stage under extensive laboratory research and using specialized software with the intention of making its highest possible performance technically and economically accessible and innovative. This wind turbine was built to supply energy to rural homes and has the ability to self position after census of the direction of greater wind flow. The generation of energy is possible at very low speeds given that in the rotor of a vehicle alternator used for this case has attached permanent magnets. This wind turbine is already in operation in the locality of Puntahacienda of the Parish Quingeo of the Canton Cuenca.
