El modelo EFQM en el sector salud: análisis de los criterios facilitadores

Resumen

The objective of this work is to show the development of the quality model of EFQM applied to an important University Hospital of Spain. Although the model EFQM is based on nine criteria, this article explains only fi ve, these are enabler criteria. Trough out the activities of auto evaluation in which the Model EFQM is based, it can be obtained better and more effi cient gestation of the resources and attainment of the aims and strategies targeted, with the effect of a constant improvement of the sanitary attention. Strategic lines for the Hospital have been defi ned, with the direct participation of leaders in activities for improvement. The complete encounter to involved the Medical Board in the implementation of activities of auto learning and improvement, emphasizing the work directly to the patient. Processes have been established for the communication of the strategies to the whole personnel, creating an organizational culture of quality.
