Salud mental y globalización, necesidad de una nueva etnopsiquiatría

Resumen

It is important to understand that the world has changed, and will continue to change rapidly, that the psychiatric models were created quite awhile ago and that they are changing very slowly. The world populations have moved and continue to move physically or through Internet-, that all societies- or almost all – include human groups that have different historical and cultural origines, which makes them completely heterogenous. Therefore it is important to focus research towards this reality. Psychiatry is nor prepared to face the new mental disorder «types» y «multiethnic» disorders that are added today, to the unfinished normal ontogeny, to the uncertanity, the fear and the individual and collective immaturness. All this mixes with our new generations, and affects the world population that is being handeled with new paradigmes.
