Resumen
This paper estimates the income differential between migrants and locals in Bogota (Colombia), using matching methods. The results indicate that immigrants, on average, obtain the same income than natives with similar age, gender, schooling and education. With the proposed model to explain wage differentials between population groups model, it is concluded that the increase of immigrants to the city, regardless of their skill level, only increases job supply and does not influence income variations by the entrance of immigrants to the city.
