Migración y retorno: el duelo migratorio en el regreso de Venezuela a España
Openalex
Resumen
When emigrating means returning to the country of origin of your parents and/or grandparents. This is the journey undertaken by the nine Venezuelans, with Spanish origins, who were interviewed for this work. The qualitative method analyzes how the double sense of belonging to Venezuela and Spain built the identity of the subjects in their country of origin and how this sense of belonging changes when they take the migration process, which involves multiple grieves and has a strong emotional charge, so symptoms compatible with Ulysses Syndrome may appear. Additionally, this investigation reflects how the Spanish origins of those nine people analyzed have influenced and facilitated adaptation and integration to the host country due to the familiarity they already felt towards to Spain.
