Resumen

The climate emergency and the situation in which the environment finds itself are directly \nrelated to the quality of life and the decline in the health status of the population. Moreover, \nas nursing is the science of care, it occupies a strategic place to address environmental issues \nthat affect global health, having the professional skills to carry out this work. While it is true \nthat environmental health is not the most well-known facet of nursing, there are initiatives to \nraise awareness of environmental care and sustainable development in order to raise people’s \nhealth standards. In addition, the work of health promotion, environmental risk monitoring \nand the very profession that characterizes nursing, they provide a critical setting for nurses to \nbe included in the multi-professional teams working on environmental care and improvement \nthe level of health.
