Asociaciones Público Privadas en el sector salud

Resumen

Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) are a type of contract that integrates the efficiencies of public and private sector. The present article examines the implementation of this partnership in the health sector which has allowed responding to the needs of infrastructureand services of health care. International cases will be presented of this association and subsequently, the study will focus on the Peruvian case. In Peru, the Social Health Insurance (ESSALUD), is the first Peruvian institution in promoting health investment projects through PPP mode, to date, ESSALUD has signed four PPP contracts.
