Resumen

Migration is a time of adaptation to the culture of another country. The motivations that involve migratory processes are of diverse natures: economic, political, social and environmental, as pointed out by Torelly et al (2017). Migration is a time of loss and change and migrants have experiences that oscillate between traumatic and harmonious, depending on the psychological and social resources used to mediate this new situation of life, the characteristics of the society that receives them and the reception conditions that are created. The objective of this article is to present a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on the relations between migration, health and work, particularly, in Brazilians, in the period from 2013 to 2018, through the Portal of Periodicals of the Brazilian Federal Government Agency, under the Ministry of Education, responsible for quality assurance in undergraduate and postgraduate institutions - Capes. The results showed a large and diverse number of papers published in five continents and in fifteen countries, with a predominance of quantitative research, but with an grow of qualitative research in recent years. The results also showed a lack of linkage of the health problems of the migrants with the work they do and a greater number of articles that link the issue of migration with health in general and with mental health, also. Finally, there is a smaller but significant number of articles related to research on the experiences of Brazilian migrants around the world and in USA, particularly, in Massachusetts and their relationships with health and work.
