Resumen

Health Promotion, a subject taught in the second semester of the first year of Medicine, includes as one of its teaching strategiestofavor the search of bibliographical information emphasizing the use of available resources in the net and the use of computing III Jornada de Educacion Medica Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de La Habana resources to create materials for health promotion, prepare documents, posters, monographs and presentations. The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have expanded the transmission of information and knowledge, favoring neweducationalstrategies, in which the main role lies on the student while the teacher s role is less active. The objective of this paper is directed towards the use of ICT in a workshop of the subject Health Promotion.Complete electronic articles in databases of national and international pedagogical magazines, as well as the syllabus of the subject Health Promotion were revised. We conclude thatICT facilitate the acquisition and the development of learning abilities.
