Resumen

This fragment corresponds to the third chapter of Fernand Braudel’s book La Historia y las Ciencias Sociales, published for the first time in French in 1958 as an article in the magazine Débats et Combats. Braudel points to the importance of history, and specially of the times in history, for the social sciences analysis: “As much as if it is about the past as if it is about nowadays, a clear conscience of this plurality of the social time is fundamental for a common methodology to the social sciences”.
