Resumen

The burnout syndrome is a very common disorder that occurs mostly in professionals who have a job focused on\nthe mankind´s welfare, and it is of such importance that has been described by World Health Organization as an\noccupational hazard. Its development involves several risk factors and describes concrete clinical characteristics\nthat help defining, identifying the síndrome, and scales that classified symptomes according to its severity. The\nconsequences of this síndrome are many, both, at a personal and organizational level, so it is important and it is\nthe aim of this review to study it thoroughly for proper prevention.
