Resumen

Currently, IPv4 addresses are running out as there are many users who connect to the network many times with more than one device, so the implementation of the new IPv6 protocol is necessary. A feasibility study was conducted in the nursing Career and the Data Center the south of Manabi state University. This study determined the type of technology that would help improve the performance of telecommunication equipment through the use of the IPv6 protocol. For the realization of this project the qualitative - quantitative methodology was used since it was carried out a survey of the students and teachers of the career, with the data obtained the tabulation was carried out These study was focused on the quality of the internet and the low Bandwidth. For this reason the telecommunications network of the nursing career was designed applying the IPV6 protocol.
