Miradas alternas a la migración y sus implicaciones familiares.

Resumen

This article aims to show some results of two researches carried out by the Family Center at Universidad Catolica de Pereira, which dealt with the issue of migration and, presents the implications for the role of the father when the mother migrates and grandmothers become caretakers, or when both parents are those who migrate. The article seeks to call into question the considerations that relate the migration of one or both parents, as causes of many problems, and show on the other hand, the profi ts that are reported to the parental roles and in general for the care and protection of the children.
