Resumen

This study aimed to explore the perceptions of Latin American and Caribbean migrants in Europe regarding the concept of decent work. A total of 411 participants, selected through chain sampling, responded to an online survey based on open-ended questions. A mixed-methods approach was applied, including descriptive analyses in SPSS and inductive qualitative analysis using Grounded Theory in NVivo. The results identified four main themes: respect for rights and laws (including fair wages, job security, and reasonable working hours), quality of life, physical and mental well-being, and personal growth. Gender differences were found in job security and work-life balance. The study, aligned with ILO definitions and the 2030 Agenda, highlights the need for comprehensive policies that promote equity, psychological well-being, and fair working conditions for migrants in Europe.
