Resumen

RESUMEN La migracion peruana en la region de Tarapaca ha marcado un cambio en las caracteristicas socioculturales de esta Region, lo que se ha visto acentuado principalmente por los logros economicos, especialmente en las areas de comercio, mineria y turismo. Esta migracion viene asociada  a una situacion de desigualdades sociales que existen en  paises vecinos como es el caso de Peru. En Chile la falta de proteccion en que viven los inmigrantes peruanos, se representa  principalmente por la falta de reconocimiento y respeto de sus derechos laborales, de lo anterior se debe considerar que una de las principales razones para migrar es el dar un mejor sustento economico a su grupo familiar a traves del envio de remesas de dinero. Finalmente se evaluan las condiciones de vida, el proceso de insercion y la desigualdad en cuanto a oportunidades. Abstract The Peruvian migration in the region of Tarapaca has marked a change in the socio-cultural characteristics of this Region, which has been accentuated mainly by the economic profits, especially in the areas of commerce, mining and tourism. This migration has been associated a situation of social inequalities that exist in neighboring countries as it is the case of Peru. In Chile the lack of protection in which the Peruvian migrants live, mainly imagines by the lack of recognition and respect of its labor rights, of the previous thing is due to consider that one of the main reasons to migrate is to give a better economic sustenance to its familiar group through shipment of money remittances.  Finally the conditions of life, the process of insertion and the inequality as far as opportunities are evaluated.
