EDUCACIÓN PARA LA SALUD: LA OBESIDAD INFANTIL

Resumen

Childhood obesity is a major public health problems of the XXI century and also involves multiple related diseases. We are talking about a preventable disease that is increasing by leaps and bounds. \nIn schools it is intended to address this issue through projects Health Education (EPS) aimed at improving the health of people through prevention perspective and health promotion. \nRecent studies warn of increase in childhood overweight and obesity in Spain and Europe; therefore, this leads to the conclusion that projects Health Education in schools not achieve their goals. \nThis proposal is the development of a teaching unit on childhood obesity covering this problem for obese and non-obese children, families and the educational community in general.
