MIGRACIÓN Y REFUGIO EN LA ARGENTINA: UN ANÁLISIS DESDE LA LEGISLACIÓN ACTUAL
Openalex
Resumen
With the arrival of the new millennium, Argentina began modifying legislation related to migration and refugees. It was in this context that Immigration Law no. 25871 was enacted in 2003, and the General Law for the Recognition and Protection of Refugees no. 26165 was approved in 2006. In this article, we propose to investigate the relation between migration policies and refugee policies in Argentina based on the changes in both sets of legislation. We thus analyse the previously mentioned policies, as well as the statistics compiled by the National Refugee Commission and the National Immigration Directorate which establish a wider framework for the problem.
