Resumen

This paper deals tvith the situauon of the Ndotve people in Equatorial Guinea and their mtgratory experience to Europe, Startingfrom a brief historical round, the attempt is to hetter understand how an ethnic identity consaousness has heen developed over the years among the Ndowe ethnic group. This is necessary in arder to come to know which are the ethnic houndaries recognized by the Ndowe themselves, which can include territorial references, instead of talking ahout fictitious units detached from reality. Thefocus, then, is made on the context in which the ethnic awaremss emerge and how it persists among the elites migrated overseas.
