Resumen

Entrepreneurship is key to sustainable economic development, driving employment and innovation. However, in Ecuador, the lack of sustainability strategies, limited access to financing and the absence of effective public policies have hindered the consolidation of entrepreneurship. This underscores the need to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem through approaches that integrate economic growth and sustainability. This study analyzes the relationship between entrepreneurship and sustainable development in Ecuador, identifying determinants and challenges. A systematic literature review was conducted with a qualitative approach, using academic databases and rigorous selection criteria. The findings indicate that strategic leadership, innovation and the integration of sustainable models are essential for the permanence of ventures. However, the lack of government incentives and support networks hinder their growth. This study contributes to the understanding of sustainable entrepreneurship in Ecuador and highlights the importance of strategies that strengthen entrepreneurial capacity and promote sustainable business models.
