Webpacientes.org, una experiencia en línea de información y formación en e-salud

Resumen

On May 20 and 21 2003, Barcelona played host to a meeting bringing together health professionals and representatives from patient and user organisations and associations from around Spain. The aim of this meeting was to gain information on the views and experiences of patients, or their members, in six areas of interest, on which preparatory work had been carried out. The organisation and presentation of the information obtained can be found in the so-called Barcelona Patients’ Associations Declaration, which is summarised as the Patients’ Ten Commandments. A result of the initiative was the development of Webpacientes, a project that aims to act as a leading source of information in the field of healthcare, offering nine sections and a complete list of pathologies. The subject areas in Webpacientes follow the spirit of the Barcelona Patients’ Associations Declaration.
