Th e research objectives described in this article were to study the motivation, expected attitudes toward learning, and the methodology of science teaching among university and secondary school students in the city of Rio Cuarto, Argentina. Th e participants were from three populations. Th e research was of an exploratory descriptive nature, and a survey was administered to both university and secondary students. Since motivation is believed to constitute a conditioning factor for learning, further study of the concept is important.
