Resumen

This article is a critical review of the different models of methodological approximation that characterize the research about the migratory phenomena and its relation with the mass media. Through bibliographical analysis it attepts to put in discussion how, operatively, the contemporary studies that approach this object of study have reproduced the conventional forms of the media analysis, oblivious to the current context conditions of the migratory phenomenona. In this line, the article proposes an epistemological opening based on the systemic conditions of intercultural research.
