Resumen
Borderland building items' description and its discursive analysis, watching what their local\nmedia tell about them is the subject of anthropological research on which this article\nargues. The paper provides results of a larger study on migration and borderlands in\nCiudad Juárez, Mexico, and emphasizes the implications between the mass media,\nculture, ideology and power. Methodology applied -Anthropology of Borderlands- assumes\na global and local perspective, textual, contextual and participates in a mixed approach:\nethnographic and linguistic. Borderlands' otherness subject appears in a warp of\ndiscursive exclusion and stigmatization; it is as well as I understand the internal borders\nare constructed to the nation, through the billing of speeches and texts that make cognitive\nrepresentations of reality. The media take a key role in this domination plot.
