Resumen
Around the world there are high levels of displacement, which in 2017 reach approximately 258 million migrants per year (UN, 2017, p.5). As a consequence, States react to the exodus of immigration and for this reason, there is an assumption that there is a correlation between the growth of immigration and neo-nationalist growth. In spite of this, actually the investigation to determine the existence of said correlation is minimal. For this reason, the present investigation has the objective of determining if in the case of Europe, after the migratory crisis of the year 2015, the neo-nationalist levels increased at the regional level. For this, ten countries have been selected according the highest levels of asylum seekers have been identified, and in each country, it has been identified one to three political parties with neo-nationalist tendencies. By comparing the results of the parliamentary elections that each of these parties will obtain before 2015 and after that year, the level of neo-nationalist growth at the national and regional levels can be determined. The results obtained are mixed, at regional level there is a 13.24 per cent of neo-nationalist growth, but despite this, the countries with the highest levels of growth are not those with the highest levels of asylum seekers.
