Los enfoques de salud intercultural en los ámbitos de gestión e investigación en Argentina

Resumen

In Argentina, intercultural perspectives have shaped indigenous recognition in the health field during the first three decades of the 21st century. Under the approaches based on the enhancement of cultural diversity, the policies aimed at helping indigenous peoples have been the object of discussion in both management and research areas. In order to review the ways in which intercultural health has been at stake, I am analyzing some of the assumptions and practices that guided socio-health interventions as well as research focused on exploring such experiences. To do this, I resume my work career focused on investigating the different aspects related to indigenous health, and the studies that addressed the impact of the public health system in interethnic contexts. Through this review, I outline what issues certain intercultural approaches have in common which are promoted in the management and research instances, and in what ways they converse, interrogate and stress each other.
