Health Promotion is a process that allows people to increase control over their health to improve it. Actions aimed at increasing the abilities, skills, and capacities of individuals to change the social, environmental, and economic conditions that have an impact on health determinants. The study's objective was analyzing the approaches of various authors in different articles regarding nursing actions in health promotion at the second level of care. One hundred seventy-five bibliographic sources from different databases were reviewed, which aspects related to the topic were addressed. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, finally considering the totality of 49 articles, 20 authors state that the actions carried out at the second level of care. Help in the promotion of health based on the theory of Nola J Pender. Obtaining as essential coincidences of five authors in the category individual characteristics and experiences, six authors in the category-specific behavioral cognition and affect, and finally, nine authors in the behavioral result, which have addressed topics related to nursing actions in the second level of attention.
