Resumen
The Mexican migration has one long historical tradition, occupying a unique place in the migration towards the United States, phenomenon that can be understood exactly if we know that important historical process in the conformation the migratory flow. It must be taken into account that these two countries that share a very long border and that great part of the present territory of the United States (Californian, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas) belonged to Mexico until half-full of century XIX. Components like the geographic situation, the cultural bows, the economic integration and the commercial relations have accentuated the magnitude of the migratory flows. At the present time the Mexican migrants as well as their descendants are the most influential within the United States and a factor of helping minority for many Mexicans in the country.
