Resumen
The armed conflict has multiple actors, the main ones being: guerrillas, paramilitaries and military. From the 80’s, the paramilitary conflict was successful and it had particular strength during the following decade, where one of the main victimizing acts were the massacres perpetrated in different municipalities of Colombia, some of them, more frequently in some departments that in others, mainly in Antioquia. Since the signing of the Justice and Peace Law with Law 975 of 2005, a process of demobilization of paramilitaries in Colombia took place, which resulted in the reduction of massacres. This chapter aims to make a descriptive review at the departmental level of the main victimizing facts of the paramilitary groups and their evolution after the approval of said law.
