Ciencia: Revista hispano-americana de ciencias puras y aplicadas (1940-1975)

Resumen

A preliminary report is given of a more ambitious project whose aim is to analyse bibliometrically the scientific output of the journal Ciencia from 1940 to 1975. This journal was the formal channel of scientific communication amongst Spanish researchers in exile following the Spanish Civil War of 1936. For the present case, we selected only the articles on physics and mathematics. The acceptance speech of the Nobel laureate, Severo Ochoa, to the Swedish Academy is transcribed in an Annex.
