PUEBLOS INDÍGENAS, MIGRACIÓN TRANSNACIONAL E IDENTIDADES. RETOS Y DESAFÍOS EN LA MIGRACIÓN DE LOS PUEBLOS INDÍGENAS DE ECUADOR HACIA ESPAÑA

Resumen

En este articulo se presenta un panorama sobre las situaciones que viven los pueblos indigenas procedentes de Ecuador y que han migrado hacia Espana, y los retos y desafios que acompanan la reproduccion y vivencia de sus practicas identitarias en un contexto marcado por relaciones sociales excluyentes y jerarquicas, no solo externas al propio colectivo sino que se viven tambien en su interior. Los procesos de construccion identitaria a nivel individual y colectivo de estos migrantes transnacionales estan marcados por el peso de la tradicion, pero ademas por la interrelacion que establecen con los “otros” y la redefinicion de los significados de la propia tradicion y la reproduccion cultural. Palabras clave: Etnicidad; Pueblos indigenas; Migracion transnacional; Identidad; Reproduccion cultural This article presents a general outlook of the situations lived by the indigenes from Ecuador who migrated to Spain and the challenges that are implied in the surviving and reproduction of they identity practices in a context marked by hierarchic relations and social exclusion, not only out of the community but also in its interior. These identities construction processes of transnational migrants, in an individual and in a collective level, are marked by the weight of tradition and also by the relation they establish with the others and the redefinition of the significances of their own tradition and cultural reproduction.
