Migración de retorno: notas en torno a una investigación sobre retorno argentino, 2008-2017

Resumen

The article presents some guidelines for the discussion of an ongoing doctoral research that questions the conditions that operate in the return decision processes of Argentines who once resided in Spain and after the global economic crisis of 2008 returned to Argentina. Through an empirical investigation, with in-depth interviews with returned Argentineans, the article shows some preliminary results regarding the analysis of the decision processes of these migrants. To account for the diversity of factors that give rise to the return, as well as the ways in which these overlap and intersect with each other, we rely on a multiple analysis model (or multilevel analysis) that allows to account for the influence of contextual variables on attitudes or behaviors measured at the individual or relational level.
