Resumen
This article presents a research that analyzes the\npossible differences according to gender with\nrespect to the level of basic digital competence\nperceived by 334 students of the University of\nPablo de Olavide corresponding to the Education,\nSocial Work and double degrees of Social Work\nand Education. For this purpose, the questionnaire\non Basic Digital Competences 2.0 (COBADI /\nregistered at the Spanish Patent and Trademark\nOffice with number 2970648) was applied. The\nscientific literature has shown differences in the\ndigital competence of students depending on the\nstatistical method used in the research. For this\nreason, the research design focused on analyzing\nthe digital competence perceived by men and\nwomen in three areas: communication, academic\ntasks and knowledge and use of digital tools\nthrough a bayesian inference methodology with a\nCauchy distribution with a parameter r = √2 / 2.\nThe results show that the most assimilated digital\ncompetences between men and women are those\nof communication and academic. Although men\nsystematically tend to assess their competencies\nmore positively, Bayes' factor method shows that,\ncurrently, men and women are equally competent\nin the different digital competences.
