La migración sefardí en la Amazonia brasileña: lengua hakitía e identidad

espanolPor su singularidad, las comunidades sefardies en la diaspora siempre han sido objeto de estudio y refl exion. Este articulo tiene como fi nalidad analizar la relacion existente entre la identidad de la comunidad sefardi de la ciudad de Belem (Brasil) y su lengua singular, la hakitia. Empleando un cuestionario y una serie de entrevistas, se estudiaran las peculiaridades de esta relacion y se explicara cual ha sido su evolucion a lo largo del tiempo. Se puede adelantar que aunque historicamente la lengua hakitia si represento un simbolo de identidad primordial para estos sefardies, en la actualidad y en funcion de los datos recogidos, se podria afi rmar que esta relacion directa entre lengua e identidad ya no existiria. Se entiende adecuado encuadrar esta investigacion dentro de las nuevas aportaciones de la linguistica de mantenimiento y sustitucion de lenguas, mas concretamente de la sociolinguistica en contextos de diaspora. EnglishSephardic Migration in the Brazilian Amazon: language Hakitia and identity. For its uniqueness, Sephardic communities in Jewish diaspora have always been object of study and refl ection. This article aims to analyze the relationship between the identity of the Sephardic community of the city of Belem (Brazil) and its unique language, the Hakitia. Using a questionnaire and a series of interviews, we will study the peculiarities of this relationship and try to explain how it has evolved throughout time. We can advance that although historically the Hakitia language was a primary symbol of identity for these Sephardic communities, nowadays and according to the data collected, it could be argued that its direct relationship between language and identity would no longer exist. This research is directly related to the new contributions of linguistic maintenance and replacement of languages, more specifi cally to the sociolinguistic in Diasporas contexts.
