Resumen

A look at the history of research on international migration in MexicoIt is provided an insight into the direction in which research has followed this issue in Mexico, knowing of course that the work cannot be exhaustive, hence it is also qualifi ed as "a glance" that is, as a selective vision of the author himself.Discusses some of the contextual features that have been present in every period along with strings of changes in topics and approaches, pointing in turn that some have been very persistent beyond convenient, as it is the case perhaps of an excessive attention of remittances, while they have neglected important issues of the contemporary situation.
