Migración y desplazamientos en "Los Boys" de Junot Díaz

espanolEste articulo analiza la representacion de la migracion en el libro Los Boys de Junot Diaz, a partir de las distinciones entre sujeto migrante y diasporico propuestas por Abril Trigo. En el contexto de las actuales migraciones caribenas a los Estados Unidos, interesa mostrar como esta serie de relatos configura en Republica Dominicana y Nueva York la s du alidades e spaciales (a qui/alla) y temporales (a hora/entonces), e l v iaje migratorio familiar y los desplazamientos rurales y urbanos. Estos relatos exponen espacios distopicos, que anulan la utopia del sueno americano. EnglishThis article analyzes how the migration is portrayed in Junot Diaz’ Los Boys. It considers the differences between migrant and diasporic subject, proposed by Abril Trigo. In the context of the ongoing Caribbean migrations to the United States, we show how this series of short stories shape both in the Dominican Republic and in New York, the space (here / there) and time (now / then) dualities, the migration trip of the family, and rural and urban displacement. These stories expose dystopian spaces, which nullify the utopia of the American dream.
