Resumen
In recent decades, the migration of skilled students has remained a constant necessity for broadening the horizons of knowledge and developing new skills. In 2024, globalization has generated a growing international demand for skilled human resources, which has intensified the migration of Latin American professionals to developed countries, in a process that reflects both opportunities and structural inequalities in the global system. A clear example is the United States, which has been the world's most important recipient of human capital, allowing it to consolidate its position as a world power by attracting talent through the creation and implementation of high-level educational policies and programs that are attractive to migrants whose countries of origin do not match their academic goals.
