Resumen

This dataset contains anonymized survey data collected as part of a cross-sectional observational study investigating the socioeconomic and demographic profile of Brazilian students enrolled in medical programs at private universities in Paraguay in 2024. The dataset includes responses from 1,559 participants and comprises variables related to demographic characteristics (age group, gender, marital status, parental status, and Brazilian state of origin), academic trajectory (year of study, prior higher education, training and experience in the health field), and socioeconomic conditions (family income, financial dependence, dependents, parental educational level, and sources of study financing). Data were collected through an online structured questionnaire distributed via institutional networks and digital communication platforms between May 1 and June 30, 2024. Participation was voluntary and conditioned upon informed consent. All data were anonymized prior to analysis to ensure participant confidentiality. The dataset supports descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including chi-square tests, Kruskal–Wallis tests, Dunn post hoc comparisons, log-linear models, binary logistic regression, and cluster analysis. This dataset underpins the results presented in the article: Educational migration: Study on the socioeconomic and demographic profile of Brazilians studying medicine in Paraguay, 2024 The dataset is shared for academic and research purposes under an open license consistent with ethical and confidentiality requirements.
