Diagnóstico de salud bucal

Resumen

The buccal health diagnosis for the population, being multifactorial, turns oyt to be very complex; due to this, it is necessary to identify the behaviour of health components, and their determinants or risk and causality factors, which allows the confection of an action and execution plan, in order to achieve better health indicators. The characteristics and diagnosis stages, as well as their objectives and strategy, are described. General indicators to measure the helath status, are proposed. A guide containing the required elements for its fulfillment, is presented. It is considered that the buccal health diagnosis establishes a starting point to achieve a close interrelation and coordination of activities with the Work Basic Group, and the corresponding family physician.
