The Floriculture sector is considered an important currency generator for economies and one of the strongest industries in many developed and developing countries. The objective of this research is to determine the way the floriculture sector interacts with the Agricultural Trade Balance during the period 2009 to March 2020, by analyzing historical data from the floricultural sector and the Agricultural Trade Balance compared to the Gross Domestic Product of Ecuador. The methodology is descriptive, longitudinal and quantitative, with a documentary and observational research technique for the compilation of information and database obtained from the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP) and the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE). As a result, the floriculture sector contributes positively and generates great income that contributes to the Agricultural Trade Balance.
