México en la pandemia: atrapado en la disyuntiva salud vs economía

espanolLa crisis sanitaria originada por el Covid-19 ha transformado la vida de millones de personas en el mundo. La forma como los gobiernos la enfrentan, con que recursos y mediante que organizaciones y la forma como reacciona cada sociedad, minimiza o amplifica el impacto de la pandemia. El papel del Estado es indispensable pues es el garante de la seguridad de los ciudadanos, de su salud, su patrimonio y su bienestar. Su intervencion es fundamental para minimizar los costos que imponga la devastacion sanitaria, social y economica. Sin embargo, en Mexico la estrategia seguida por el gobierno rapidamente lo atrapo en un falso dilema: salvar vidas o salvar la economia. El esfuerzo de confinamiento realizado por la poblacion no logro romper el ciclo de contagio y deja a la pandemia fuera de control que solo muestra un futuro incierto. Their intervention is essential to minimize the costs of health, social and economic devastation. In Mexico, however, the government’s strategy quickly caught him in a false dilemma: saving lives or saving the economy. The confinement effort carried out by the population failed to break the cycle of contagion and leaves the pandemic out of control that only shows an uncertain future.
