Impacto del conflicto armado en la migración forzosa de Colombia- Antioquia entre 1985 y el 2016

Resumen

Armed conflict and forced migration are aspects which are generally related. In Latin America these phenomena also occur and the Colombian case is one of the most obvious examples. In this country, even though several peace processes were carried out through years, the armed conflict lasted for more than five decades. Since its origins, and with the increase of violence since 1985, an atmosphere of terror was produced in the nation, causing more than six million displaced people from all regions of the country. Nonetheless, Antioquia has been the most affected department by these two phenomena. Therefore, this paper highlights the influence of the Colombian armed conflict on forced migration especially from the mentioned department since 1985.
