LEYES DE ATENUACIÓN PARA SISMOS CORTICALES Y DE SUBDUCCIÓN PARA EL ECUADOR

Resumen

Based on macro seismic information for 14 earthquakes associated with crustal faults and 7 subduction earthquakes, most of them registered in Ecuador and a few in southern Colombia but that affected Ecuador, a Law of Attenuation using the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale was determined. There are 69 data bases for cortical earthquakes and 38 for subduction earthquakes.
