Resumen
Bronchial asthma is the commonest childhood chronic illness and can provoke problems to affected children and indirectly to their parents. To show this, anxiety, depression and general health levels are analyzed in three groups of parents: 55 parents of asthmatic children, 32 parents of other children with chronic illness and 87 parents of healthy children. Results show that parents of asthmatic children have the highest scores in anxiety compared to the other two groups; they show higher levels of depression and in some Goldberg's General Questionnaire subescales hove higher scores than parents of healthy children
