Estudio de factibilidad técnica para la migración de un datacenter tradicional a una solución de hiperconvergencia para una empresa distribuidora farmacéutica

Resumen

Nowadays, information technologies are growing exponentially, it because process a lot of information. The reliability and consistency of the information depends on a very important factor, this factor is the place where it processes that information, this place is called the data center. Nowadays, the solutions aren´t only in one place, there are also solutions in the cloud or infrastructures that converge all the services in a single device. Hyperconvergence is the combination of elements such as servers, networks and storage, resulting in a single device controlled by software (SDDC). In Quito, there is a pharmaceutical dealer, which has an old technological infrastructure, where the ideal would be to migrate all that to an HCI solution. The following is a feasibility study to migrate a traditional data center to a hyperconvergence solution. Firstly, an information survey of all the current infrastructure is carried out; equipment, communication technologies, compliance with standards. Once this information is documented, an analysis of the hyper-convergence technologies existing in the market is carried out, considering the needs and requirements, and the most appropriate one is chosen. After choosing the appropriate solution, we work on the operation and migration process of the traditional data center to hyperconvergence solution.
