Resumen

The historical study of the Mexico-USA migratory process provides an over-
\nview of its effects and implications for bilateral relations of both nations. In 
\nthis historiographical essay, I explore some moments of Mexican migration 
\nthat influenced and conditioned the political and historical interactions bet-
\nween the two countries, which undoubtedly shaped the role of migration in 
\ngovernment agendas.
