LAS MUJERES DE ZACATEPEC: UNA REALIDAD ENCUBIERTA POR LA MIGRACIÓN THE WOMEN OF ZACATEPEC: AN UNCOVER REALITY BY THE MIGRATION

Resumen

SUMMARY The impulses of the globalization have and impact on some economic improvements, in the cultural pattern and as a negative way in the marginalization world, for example the reduction of employment possibilities in many corners of the Mexican field, throwing as need of the system –and gender- the male migration (and now also feminine) of our conationals to different points of the country and of the American union. In contrast with what generally it is believed as for the conditions of those who remain, there are domestic groups that instead of getting accommodated to the sporadic currencies of the migrant’s, prefer adapting their organization to the measurement of their possibilities, in other words: depending on the resources which one possesses, the persons who stay at the front of the domestic group interweave different strategies of survival depending on the zone, levels of education, even the groups to which they belong. These strategies are reflected in the stratification of gender that has been elaborated in their spaces. Concrete examples of this social transformation are the women of Santa Maria Zacatepec, Mpio. De Juan C. Bonilla, puebla. They are in charge of their survival and the whole domestic group when the males emigrate from this population, this is explained when the principal sustenance of the domestic unit and the whole population come from the formal insertion of the women on the labor market (in the production of partitions generally), besides entering this reality without the figure of the man provider/oppressor they enter a process of concientization that puts them opposite to a new feminine figure, that means to a rethinking of their identity, which in other words marks the beginning of an empowerment process.
