Resumen
»The main idea of this article is to show that the international migratory process of mexicans to the United States is generating, yet in a slow way, changes on the attitudes and behaviour between the gender relationships (between men and women).˚ This articule is based on field work conducting in two main cities of the Northern Mexico: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua and Tijuana, Baja California.˚ In this article, based in several interviews we both male and female, we show that the mexican laboral experience in the U.S.A. constitute the main reason of the changes between the genders. Likewise, the article shows how several women are begining to see their labor market participation as a life project and noy only as an answer to their life conditions (of poverty).˚ Although is so soon to talk of women’s empowerment, since women start to work in the United States they begining to negociate some of the central decisions in the wome’s lives.
