Resumen
This research analyzes the process of inter-indigenous migration into the state of Mexico, that have originated in the last two decades the shrinkage, disappearance and appearance of new localities and have favor the rural life conditions deterioration. Based on census results and in-depth interviews in internal migrants, a logit model is constructed to appraise of the effect of various local variables such as cost of migration, level of wage income, per capita productivity and human capital on the decision to migrate. The results show that the local wage income has a negative impact and the human capital a positive impact on the decision to move to other municipalities.
